Avoiding Paris?

I'm heading to Magny Cours for the World Superbikes in September and every route (Google/Maps/Nav6) route through the outskirts of Paris.
I'd like to know peoples opinions of this, is it as bad as I've read, or do I go with it, or can anyone suggest a suitable route round?

If you are comfortable driving/riding on the M25 or driving into London then you should have no problems with the Paris ring road.
Yes it is busy and you need your wits about you but not really a horror show, with a well planned GPS route you should be fine.

If it's really a show stopper look at a ferry via St Malo or Caen, might ease your stress levels

driving in and around Paris , is a hoot , it's like stepping back in time.
they are very aware of bikes , you can get away with ( vehicular driving ) murder , go and ride the Peripherique , it is bonkers fun !
the motorway ring road , is a bit like the M25 , except it moves all the time.

Magny Cours is in the middle of nowhere, with very few hotels in the area.

Yes, I have an Air Bnb about 20km away, also in the middle of nowhere.
Thinking about it, I better look for supermarkets

Peak times you get some heavy traffic on the peripherique. I've done it multiple times with different traffic conditions each time. Obviously it is a public road, nothing major.

I'd actively avoid jumping on the peripherique if you know you are going through it when traffic can be heavy (commute times, etc). Yes they let you filter in the middle easily, but if one can avoid congestion... why not

Be careful, as it might drag to Berlin.

The OP is asking for the roads to take, in order to avoid Paris. Dragging routes needs guidance; you cannot just drag them hither and yon. Your post does nothing to help him. It may well lead to more confusion, along with the ruination of his holiday break. He is worried and confused enough as it is, having read about (on the internet, where else) the horrors of Paris and indeed, any hamlet above three houses. Your advice is irresponsible. Please work urgently to remedy the dreadful state of affairs that you have set in motion.

Note, it’s over 300 miles, so factor the roads you take and the time available into your plans.

Having done it several times, I personally would avoid the peripherique at busy times given a choice, in the same way that I would avoid the M25.

A few minutes with a map will get you past easily.

If you do go around the Paris inner ring (periph) watch out for the speed limits and radars….

Plus the other bikes on the road drive fast between slow moving lanes of cars……..

Jeez!
Started the bike up this morning, clicked it into first gear and it cut out, thought it was the side stand down but got a message...

"Fault in the engine control"
"Onward journey possible ride carefully to next specialist workshop"

It's been taken back to the dealer, hopefully get it back in time.

I have just arrived on the French Belgian border having done the outer motorway section round Paris. It was very busy, a humid 33c but an absolute blast. I didnt feel as though someone was gonna cut me up once! I "filtered" the entire time and thoroughly enjoyed it. (Last time I rode it was many years ago)
