Avon Distanzia auction for MOR

I've had the good fortune of being given a pair of brand spanking new Avon Distanzias to fit an R1150GS (pretty sure this is the same as the 1100 and 1200) as part of a sponsorship deal.

I actually have two sets of spare tyres as well as a set of spare wheels with some useable tyres on, so these are totally surplus to my requirements.

I thought about selling them to make a quick profit, but then decided that wasn't really in the spirit of the deal.

Soooo...

I'm auctioning them off to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to Motorcycle Outreach

Avon won't have the tyres for a couple of weeks so let's set the deadline for bids for 12 noon on Saturday September 6th.

The tyres will be sent FOC to the winning bidder directly from Avon as long as you are in the UK mainland.

So who's going to open the bidding?



EDIT: A big thanks to Avon - they've just got back to me and said that they will supply a pair of tyres for ANY bike (rather than just the 1150), so the bidding is open to all of you 650/800/Harley/Buell etc owners

Just to be 100% clear the bid is for a brand new front and rear Avon Distanzia delivered to your door.

The other tyres and wheels are not part of this bid, they are just the reason I don't need the Avons...

In the interests of transparency MOR have agreed that the winning bidder should pay them by cheque directly (I'll PM details). Once they've had the cheque I'll send details of how to claim the tyres from Avon.

Regarding the donation - that's really nice of you. You know, with what you gave us at HU plus this raffle makes you our single best fundraiser this year!

Much as that's pleasing and flattering I haven't raised very much at all on their behalf.

Goes to show how much difference an individual can make to a small organisation.

Ironically I got a nail in my rear tyre today for the first time luckily it came out without causing a puncture
