anybody tried them ? ive a feeling the continental trail attacks are not going to last to long:augie

thought i might give the avons a go:D

Had them on me 12 up until MOT time. (2 sets)

They're round and black and got over 7 farsand miles out of the rears both sets.

I didn't fall off - which I regard as a good thing.

i had them on my 1100 and 1150 only changed to tourance as i bought a cheap new rear.
i have noticed no change to the bike from the avons.
i will use them again no worry's :thumb
Mr K had them on his 1200 i believe.

I`ve had these on my Dakar since the Michelin Siracs did only 7 thou on the rear.
Two-up riding and had at best 11400 miles on my other rear Distanzia tyre. Though i`ve had to change this rear tyre early (10950mls) for my recent French trip and that has i`d say another 2 thou of tread left. :blast
Good grip on tarmac, wet or dry. :thumb

Had them on my 1150, good enough mileage but can't compete in the wet with the Conti's

My Airhead had some fitted when I bought it and I've had no issues. They've lasted well, gripped on tarmac and coped with dry lanes but their at the end of their life now and aren't gripping too well on wet lanes so they've had their last run tonight. :rose

Had 2 fronts and 4 rears over 40k miles. Don't want anything else as they do what I want them to :thumb2

I used to get them cheap from a mate who was an Avon dealer, they were imho better than the tourances in the dry (more stable and rolled into bends better). Mileage was very good 8000 to a rear and 10,000 plus to a front tyre but I did have few moments in the damp and wet .
They never let go completely and spat me off but the rear especially did let you know when it wasn't happy and would step out (very unnerving).

the last distansia i had stepped out a lot,
for this reason i wouldnt buy em again, glad someone else had this prob with em,
especially poor in the wet,
the trial attacks, for me, allow a more sporty riding style, yet still do the mileage,
why do people worry about tyre milage?
you all spend a fortune on your bikes then buy the tyres thats
1, cheaper than the ones you really want , for the sake of £20 or so
2, do the most milage, regardless of grip, performance,
3, the ones with the biggest knobblys so u look like ewan
or 4 (most common )
the ones with the prettiest tread pattern

a tosser gave me a nearly new front as he didnt like it, got it on now, done about 6000 miles so far and it doesnt seem even half worn.

had no problems myself, been around the Nurburgring a few times etc:thumb

thanks all tourances are the dogs ive found.

the conti trail attacks ive got on at the mo seem fine but something not quite right about the front:confused:

annikees ive heard are good, i just like to try out different tyre's

it seems theres no fixed opinion for any of the tyres,,,personal taste i spose.

its good to get opinions first so i dont end up putting black n round bakerlight jobbies on there:D:thumb2

I`m not a fan of Distanzias either, great in the dry as are most things but I did more slip & sliding in the wet with them than anything else :eek Conti`s TA are really good :thumb2
