If one by accident go to the flat country to have Bas work on the suspension then you can pick up two of these axle nuts at the same time.

KTM 27mm ones do the trick at £4 a shot

The front is a straight fit but the rear KTM nut needs to be turned down to sit inside the adjuster plate.
If not then the rear nut is only holding on the outside 1mm edge of the nut.

True, but my mate put it on his lathe for me & 1 min later all done

How much are the fancy ones in post 1 ?

I did the same, but just letting people know that it's not a straight replacement as could be dangerous if you don't know.

Without wishing to hijack too much....It's more exciting to ride, has more power, but for a long trip I think the X is better. A safer option with more torque. Feels easier to ride with less effort so less tiring. Because I don't do loads of long trips the 690 suits me better.

i asked them and they're 18ukp for the pair, heat treated etc.
