Hi

Can anyone recommend a B&B or even a hotel around Oxford for a single night this weekend. My dad is popping down that way and could do with a rest part way

Cheers :thumb

Just outside of Oxford, in Eynsham.

Use it often, Trevor the landlord is a nice guy, ask for one of the new rooms, they're very comfortable. Probably about £45 - £50, tell him you're a friend of Clive at Ice Energy.

This place is pretty good, not sure of prices though

There are lots of B&Bs in Banbury. Most within half a mile of the Cross. Come off the M40 at J11 and make your way to the town centre following the "Bus Drop Office Point" (which is the Cross). It's 20 miles short of Oxford and the prices are a lot less.
RobA.

Other towns along the M40 are probably cheaper too, such as Bicester or Thame, for nicer surroundings look for B&B's in villages near these locations as they all tend to be quite nice (Bicester, Banbury and Thame are not on my favourite night out list)

If he fancies wandering around Oxford in the evening then a premium will be paid for an Oxford B&B.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone :clap

He's going to head down and see what he finds.

If he lands in Blackbird Leys or Barton it will be scenes reminiscent of the recent London Riots, but tell him not to worry as these places always look like that.
