Hi all,

Back on the f800gs, this time decided on a lowered version from Alton. Was sceptical at the lowered version at first but it's the perfect bike and height for me now, I was very close to a 700 but having rode them back to back I preferred the 800 and think it looks a hell of lot better!

Only problem is the annoying chain slapping at low rpm, suspect it's to do with the lowered version but BMW are going to check it out next month.

Got a few extras for her from the forum. Just need to get some decent photos!

NO panniers , that slender beast will filter through the UK's congested roads like a hot knife through butter ....enjoy !

Thanks I have a set of givi quick release outback panniers for when needed otherwise the top box for my daily commute :)

re the chain slap think it's something I'll have to get used too after reading. Checked tension in multiple places and if anything is on the tight side 35mm of play.

Sorry forgot to say which crash bars! Touratech lower and uppers. Best looking in my opinion and saves a lot of damage if dropped! Dropped my old 800 at low speed and caused a crack in the rad which I know would have been avoided with the upper bars.
