just received a baglux tank cover from Mark, many thanks m8!
now, does anyone have any photos of the fitting, especially the rear and middle straps? i seem to only find the left hand strap location:confused:

Baglux installation instructions are a waste of time.

Below is a pics of how I fitted mine if you need any more pics just let me know.

Left hand side -

The left of the 2 straps has a plastic hook on the end and that clip under the edge of the tank.

thanks for that mate, but its the right hand side im struggling with, doesnt seem to be a fixing point for the rear strap like there is in your pic.

I did exactly the same on the right except the rear strap goes around the frame as there isn`t a bracket on the right hand side.

There is just enough length in the strap to fit.

Both sides are the same. The rearmost strap on both sides has the fixing bolt pushed through it then into the screw-thread. If you look at the strap, there is a small hole in it already. Put the washer on the outside, obviously!

the one i mean is the right hand side , REAR (nearest the seat) this strap has no holes in it, although the FRONT one does. the strap isnt long enough to pass round the tubuler framework and back for the clip

I don't have a baglux now but from trawling old photos I can show one with the cover mounted and one without. You will see the arrow pointing in the first one to where the strap goes round the frame.

The strap is quite short but there is a fair bit of give in the cover. When you think that it is tightly tied down there is usually another half inch that can be taken up on each strap

Do the rear right strap first then the other rear one then the fronts. Don't fully tighten any of them until they are all on then go round pulling them tight starting with the rear right the working diagonals for the rest. When fully tight the right rear has just enough spare strap to hide under the locking plastic catch while the one on the other side has a good couple of inches spare.

its not that difficult to fit a baglux for crying out loud.. a little imagination....

anyone interested in a baglux map holder thingy? if so email severn.sea.school at hotmail.co.uk . lost the bike but was left with the map holder so someone might as well have some use from it.

had another go today and it looked as though the strapping had stretched a little and hey presto it worked :blast thanks for the help, those who gave it!:augie
