Baglux tank cover will a 04-08 cover fit 09 bikes

The question is in the title, will an earlier Baglux tank cover fit ther later styled 09 tanks on a GS 1200?

Apparently so...Nippy Normans (where yours came from) quote the same part reference for the later model as for the early one.....

No, I don't think this is correct. I think the problem lies in the original poster's question. '04 to '07 bikes have the same tank design and hence the same Baglux tank cover will fit all of those - BAG-1200GS on Nippy Norman's site. '08 onwards bikes have the revised design of fuel tank with the raised portion on the plastic cover aft of the filler cap and require a different Baglux cover - BAG-1200GS8 from Nippy.

It's not helped by the fact that all the illustrations of Baglux covers on Nippy's site are of pre '08 bikes.

No, they are different. I went from an '04 1200 to an '08 1200 and had to buy a new cover. They are totally different.

Ones for the 2008+ GSA's are different though.

The cover from my 2006 GSA fits my 2008 GSA just the same.

Wrong colour though, old gsa was white and this one is red.
