Hi Guys,

Last night was great at Bracken and nice seeying the GS crew again! Every time I meet up with the club I enjoy being between all the nice bikes and goodies and obviously the great people.

Any ways myself and Richard was looking at the touratech tank and I recently stumbled upon this a while ago on one of the dutch sites. Maybe Zwerver can give us some more info. This must be the biggest tank I have ever seen on a 1150GS!

Have fun and enjoy the ride!

Cheers

Was there any indication of how much fuel it holds?

The biggest tank I've ever seen, was a home made one on an R90s with a chair attached for outback work in Australia, it had a 71 litre tank and that's big.

Mick.

Can anyone suggest a reason behind this other than a personal hernia crusade or the craving after a HGV tanker.

In my youth I once woke up next to a woman whose body was a similar shape, Yuk! I'm out of here.

It would be my worst nightmare to open the garage door and find my beloved GS in such poor shape.

It looks like one of those frogs that inflate themselves to look attractive.......... it doesn't work with them either..

According to the BMW advertisements of about 30 years ago they started to tell us that Form follows Function!

I think that the owner of this bike is a devotee of this statement, wouldn't you say?

Mick.

tank

I have seen this bike in italy sorrento
this september
both myself and the civil one were on our travels ( after coming off the boat from croatia and we happened upon these 2 dutch guys.
The big tank man had been to alaska + back ( among other places )
He told us how much he did not like filling petrol or running out of petrol. We believed him.
Any way the tank was hideous looking, although the bakker cylnder head covers looked quite useful. Anyone know where one could procure a set of boxer cup protectives ( even slightly scraped ones)

I quite like the tank.Ithink it looks better than the touratech or wunderlich. My personal opinion. Not too keen on the colour though coz as every one knows Graphitan is the best!

Where's its filler cap? Can't see one??

On the dark side ? every planet should have one.

Maybe it has a nuclear reactor in there so no need ?

Maybe I'll shut up now.
