Just wondered if anyone thought the bars were a bit narrow on a their bike , I was contemplating changing mine for some a bit wider
Has anyone else tried or considered this
Tx

what width are they please ?

Adv R bar end to bar end width = 83cm (2' 8 1/2")

Not sure if they also have different bends (shape) to make them higher for standing on pegs, would need to compare them side by side to see for certain. :nenau

1190 Adventure mpg

Help please, from all 1190 owners.
Am about to exchange my 1200 gs for an 1190 Adventure R, especially after Jim Aim have lowered the rear pegs. Had a final test ride this week but was amazed to find that I had got through over half a tank of petrol in 80 miles !
Can you guys tell me what returns you are getting on a tank, as something can't be right. I do ride fairly quickly, getting 180 out of a tank on my gs, but this seems excessive, if its correct.
Many thanks

Did a 329 mile trip the other Sunday over to Scotland to visit Schtum. Mixture of A roads, dual c/ways and motorways. Sat at the legal limits +10/15 mph when I felt able to do so. The bke amazed me with a return of 57 mpg. Normally, I can get 200/220 before the warning comes on and the least has been 195.

Mind you, I wouldn't hold what the fuel guage says as gospel riding a demo bike.

Did a couple of hundred miles today - riding fairly quickly :augie , and still averaged 47mpg.
Had the 1200 TC just before the 1190R and can say there ain't much between the two in fuel consumption, if anything I think the 1190 just steals it by a couple of mpg. :thumb2

fuel consumption ?

Thanks chaps
Its very good to get a genuine reaction from those who are riding them. I suspect there must be something wrong with gauge on demo. Am waiting for dealers to get back to me with reason.
Looks like I might be joining you shortly.
Thanks for your help, happy riding.

Just been told there's a recall on the inaccurate sender and the main stand , and a software update by my dealer
Should fix the dodgy mileage on the fuel light
