I might just have what you’re looking for … but give me a couple days to go down my lock-ups and sort through 25+ crates of my spares .. I wished I’d have labeled what’s what and where when I started hoarding bmw parts 35 years ago …. But I do surprise myself with what I’ve got and forgotten about over the years … anyone interested in a set of rare genuine Bmw aluminum indicator pods

And so the strip down begins, I’m really pleased at what I’ve found so far, whoever stored it had poured oil down the plug holes, copaslip on the plugs and exhaust nuts, everything came apart really easily. Gearbox out next, little bit of rust under the speedo cable so will be rebuilding that with new seals etc. all engine oil seals will be renewed.
So far so good

Now completely stripped, frame is in remarkable condition, all original paint, it’s been touched up under the master cylinder, but all stickers remain, every single bolt came out easily.
Rear crank oil seal will need changing,I’m convinced that the mileage of around 19000 miles is genuine,inside the timing case is pristine. Bores are mint, pistons have a little carbon on the crowns, and the timing chain tensioner is unmarked.

Frame is now back from powdercoating. The rebuild begins.
