I use Basecamp on an Apple Mac with plenty of map detail fine until I downloaded a route to my zumo 590. When I went back into Basecamp on the Mac I could not get any detail only basic roads. If I connect the zumo to the Mac I can get all the map detail again. Why is this

Have you got the maps downloaded to your Mac using Garmin Express? Is the correct map selected on the toolbar?

Maps were downloaded and working? I lost detail after I transferred a route to my sat nav. Up till then all was ok

Try increasing the detail slider located lower centre of map. Shows when mouse is hovered on it

I suspect several things but, let's do them one at a time.

Assuming your full map detail is normally always there without you having connected your GPS device (ie we are correct in assuming that the full detailed maps are installed and unlocked on your Mac) I think it's possible that you have accidentally selected the base map from the drop down list of installed maps. Check and report back, please.

Yes all maps are installed and unlocked. Just checked the maps and I had Global map selected. Changed to the latest one and it is back to how it was. Thanks very much for your help: :thumb2

Are you able to advise how I check how much memory is on my zumo 590

Thanks

I would guess that you connect the Zumo to your mac. Then open Finder and select the Zumo in the lefthand column.

Then, up to the dropdown menus at the top of the screen: select file and then 'Get Info'. This should open a window that shows the status of your memory
