Bash Plates / Sump Guards ?

Who's using which ones....A lot out tbere to choose from but not sure what to buy.

Wanna do some light stuff but need to protect the under carriage, literally

(Dont wanna spend a shed load of money either ).

SW-Motech on mine, fine for keeping crap of engine and protecting from flying stones etc. not too difficult to fit and looks OK (IMO)

If you may be parking the sump on top of rocks with the bikes entire weight you would need something pretty heavy duty - one that does not bolt to the sump directly, most do and a heavy whack can still crack the sump.

Many yanks think the S10 is an Enduro bike so check www.yamahasupertenere.com for info on the best kit for that sort of abuse.

Fookin expensive, almost as much as Ducati aftermarket parts !!


I know of that forum but the layout / colour of it is pure rubbish so I dont bother with it anymore.
