Speaking as a 'veteran' (makes me sound fookin ancient) of the Falklands War and someone who lost a few oppos down there, I found no offence in the picture being put up, in fact I thought it was quite funny. And I have no problem with jokes about the Falklands either - as we have moved on a little since then, same as the Gulf War.

Stumpy has hit the nail on the head with his experience, black humour is alive and well -thank God. I don't think there is anyone I know personally on here who would ridicule our Forces, but that's not the same as using certain images for a bit of harmless amusement.

Unieag put up a picture of a Rapier missile system and threatened the RAF with retribution...are you suggesting that he removes this as well? I'm sure it may cause 'offence' to some....

I was going to post a Youtube clip of a JDAM taking out a house and link it to Unieag's new extension and his threat to the RAF, but I suppose I'd better ask permission now.......

I think Red1 should head back to the safety and sanity of N.Lincs and keep away from SS. He never knows if and when we will head back doon Derby way like we did at 1/4 to six for our summer break and maybe turn left. He'd be upset then.

Methinks this is perhaps a personal thing with Mr Red1 as opposed to a genuine outrage at Johnny's post.

Red1, why would you read someone's thread or indeed post your ridiculous comments in the SS if they annoy you as much as your posts (quoted above from the comments section) suggest that they do? Like I said on that thread (Should the PM Facility Be Withdrawn), it's not rocket science (maybe for you it is for you? ) to ignore someone's posts without the need for the Ignore facility.
