I am ex forces as well so well understand the black humour used in conflict. Until Ronno posted stuff about previous Red1 posts, I was giving Red1 the benefit of the doubt that he genuinely didn't realise that many ex forces would see Johnny's original post as quite funny.

Until Ronno posted stuff about previous Red1 posts, I was giving Red1 the benefit of the doubt that he genuinely didn't realise that many ex forces would see Johnny's original post as quite funny.

Red1 was reading this thread about 20 mins ago but would seem to have avoided any reply. Shame really. I would have liked to hear his excuse.

There are enough fall outs on the board without people with hidden agendas deliberately coming on and lighting blue touch papers then slinking off like rats in the night. In retrosect, you have to wonder how sincere his support of servicemen really was as opposed to his "in" at having a pop at the OP.

Whilst I appreciate the humour of the situation, the photo of the captured pilot shows a total lack of respect for our armed services.

I thought of posting something that Floyd, Whatton, Robmack shared with me in Arnhem but thought some of you guy's don't deserve to be in the know.



Rather than a kicking and released a book and a TV deal, some gave a lot more for your so called freedom

Different folks, different strokes. Let's not let this get out of hand, Red1 appears to have a problem with the SS and is using the original picture as a means to an end - nothing more.
