Think the battery may have gone (will be decided tomorow if it starts) i had to call recovery for a jump but thankfully didnt need to get recoverd home:D it did need alot of juice to get the gs going  so probably fecked.

Where is the best place and which one and price ?

I ride all year round so needs to be reliable

thanks for the advice.

When you say it needed a lot of juice? I would've thought once you connect a good battery to jump it should fire up normally.

Been researching batteries recently for another bike. Yuasa offered the best cold cranking although others claimed more capacity. I went for Yuasa as I think CCA is more important in the cold weather. At least that's what I think.

I always use VARTA or BOSCH, as these are what my brother gets. He owns a car repair garage, so can order ANY battery, with same day delivery. Obviously this works out cheaper for me, as he doesn't load his profit margin on them.

Try asking a small independent car garage if they can price a battery up for you. You will need the code number off the side of the battery. It may be cheaper than a bike shop.

Also, try asking your local SMALL independent bike shop. They will be glad of the trade, and most likely will be struggling this time of year.
