Battery Frozen Dead

It wont matter if the battery is frozen or not, electricity will only stop moving at absolute zero (-273c if I remember correctly).

Any way to prevent my battery from freezing out? I am blaming the Cold weather for my flat battery today- but this cant go on! any suggestions?

I find that leaving mine connected to my optimate keeps the battery happy in the cold weather.I altered the connections on the optimate to be the waterproof type fitted to cars and such,I got then via the sparky at work who deals with Farnell but i believe that they can be sourced from Maplins.
