problem--on pressing starter abs goes to fault ,clock resets to zero.Doesn't tend to happen when it's been running for a while so I assume a new battery is needed, so the question is whats the difference--

BMW offer Exide gel for £90 (Blue Bell)
two acid types one at £47 one at £22
all 19 amp .I know "you get what you pay for" but what am I getting thats twice or four times the price any ideas :beerjug:Brian

Oh and just to pre-empt the few I've done a search and read the manual.

.

BMW batteries come with a two year guarantee.

Also if you get a wet battery, you have to make sure it doesn't run dry. Gel battery you just fit and forget.

Also, your clock resetting fault - check fuse 3 .
