Battery test ?
Here we have an 51 plate 1150 gs with 34000 on the clock. problem is quite frequently after hitting the start button it sets the time clock back to 00.00
it starts ok but is it a sign that the battery is on its last legs ? Thanx

it could be the battery ? if its over wo years old it may be fecked.

make sure all the connections are good not just tight.

once started check alternator output voltage is a good indicator but and amps reading is far more accurate.

it takes about fifteen to twenty mins of running to put back into the battery what ytou just took out starting the bike so get it warmed up and see how you go.

i had a similar issue and i cleaned all the leads pos and neg inc eng earths etc and life was good...

Could/might/maybe as easily be your starter motor.

Test the battery and the starter motor draw.
