Hi Folks,

Heading off for a few days (10) without my GS. Will have alarm on... question, Will the battery be dead when I return ??

Or

Have alarm programmed to activate when ignition is switched off (after about 1 min). Any ideas hoe to de-activate it. Cant make head nor tail of the book !!

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

1. Shouldn't do if battery healthy.
2. Deactivates when key is switched on or fob pressed.

1. Battery fine.
2. What I mean is how do I de-activate Alarm altogether from the initial set up.
It was originaly set up with the fob to automaticaly come on. but now I cant un-do it.

Mine was outside from Nov to Feb without being started. Longest I haven't ridden in years.

Stop fretting - 3yo battery just fine with alarm so yours should be fine.

Assuming it's the same unit as fitted on the F800 (I think it is) the alarm is designed to conserve the battery. To this end it switches off its radio receiver after an hour or two and switches off altogether after a week or so (The idea being that for long-term parking, you'll arrange suitable additional physical security). Leaving it for 10 days won't be an issue.

Enabling/disabling the auto-arm feature is simply a case of following the instructions in the Alarm manual. I can't remember the details offhand, but essentially you have to put the alarm into "programming mode" (, which is achieved by a simple sequence of ignition on/off and button presses on the remote), then step through the options one at a time until you get to the auto-arm feature and press the appropriate button to turn it on or off. Then switch off the ignition to "save" your settings and Robert is your parent's sibling.
