Re your wheels, it sounds like the dealer may have swapped one over, could be that it was possibly damaged in transit, or while being PDI'd.

I find it hard to believe that the factory would fit different tyres, as when a bike is made, ALL bikes on the production line that day will have the same tyres fitted.

Yes, I am.

All bikes on one production line will, so all GS/ GSA's will have one tyre, and all RT (oops, they've stopped making them for the time being), all S1000 models etc etc.
