I have a Belstaff Trialmaster that is one of my favourite jackets for general city-wide or shorter rides as it is, unsurprisingly, perfect for British weather. :D

Used it in the rain to the office the other day and I ended up having two massive wet stains under my armpits and it made it look like I ran 10 miles uphill.
Don't remember having water ingress in the jacket before, this is on both arms at the same time, I don't think it's through the breather holes.

Is there any know seams failure on these jackets? Or is it just time for a re-wax?
I thought the wax was there mostly for the looks these days, and the waterproofing is in a new textile they use?

Thanks

From memory of my old Trial master it had deliberate holes under the armpits

That was a long time ago now, have they changed

They do. 2 on each side. But never had water coming in all these years, and I've been with it through pretty heavy rain and snow before. I'm inclined to think the breathing vents are not the culprit here.
