Just got my insurance renewal from Bennetts for my gsa 1250 and has risen by £200 over what I paid last year, taking the piss...
......shop around gents
Interesting. With Hastings Premier at the moment and they have said to me I’ll have to simply cancel the policy as they ‘can’t insure that bike’My Bennetts renewal came in last year £298.00 this year £609.00 so shopped around and Hastings Premier was best cover for best price at £246.00 - no sweat just move around to a reasonable cover for a reasonable price.
Funnily enough - a friend just tried to insure a KTM 1290 SAS with them and they said they dont insure KTM's - I am sure this cant be true! I wonder if its down to the call handlers or maybe post code....?Interesting. Get your mate to try their website?Funnily enough - a friend just tried to insure a KTM 1290 SAS with them and they said they dont insure KTM's - I am sure this cant be true! I wonder if its down to the call handlers or maybe post code....?
Just had mine, up by £50.
That in itself is meaningless.
If last year’s premium was £500, then it would be a 10% increase. If, on the other hand, it was £10 and had now increased to £60 it would be a rise of 600%.

If I'd had said my insurance had gone up by 24% you'd have said exactly the same. There's always one on a web board and your it! As a mod you should know better. That in itself is meaningless.

Can I join in and be in second position please? There's always one on a web board and your it!
There lies the problem and the start of the hiccups that it has caused.Yes I could have put both but couldn't be arsed.
but we still wouldnt know the percentageAll you needed to do, was tell the world that last year your insurance was, say £200 and had now become £250. That (assuming nothing else has changed in your life) would have told the entire story.
But hey, you decided not to.
