Not too interested in outright grip, but want tyre with best feedback for the front end..Presently have the Tourance EXP's and they're sh1te ... making the front end vague.

Have had Tourances and Anekees and were good, but anyone found anything better before I go back to the tried and tested Tourances?

I've had Battlewings on my last GS and on my present GS and I love them. They are purely road orientated and as such are brilliant on dry or wet tarmac. You can ride like a hooligan with confidence. Lots of feedback. Very stable all the way out to good lean angles. And good mileage. You can get 7 to 9K out of the rear depending on how you ride.

I was rather taken aback at the level of feedback from my Conti Road Attack.

I was checking the pressure when it chirped, "you ferking wuss, look at those chicken strips. You should be ashamed of yourself."

Cheeky cont.

Dunlop D607s - 36/42 psi + maximum preload on the rear. As much feedback as you're going to get from the front end of a GS.

Having tried the Tourance / BT20s / Pilots / Road Attacks / Trail Attacks.... the Avon Azaro/ Storm combination wins for me as far as feedback and ride quality are concerned.

Conti Trail Attacks nice, soft, grippy feel - Dunlop 607's very, wooden - Tourances in between.

Another one for Avon's here. The bike press thought so too...

After going through 2 trailwings in less than 8500 miles I am now using trail attacks and find them excellent, very grippy and quieter.

had battle wings..........ok
but i so love my conti road attack........most excellent tyre great for keepin up with them sports bikes........lol

I have just ordered a pair of Tourances for my 400miles old 1200. I had them on the last one, but the new bike came with Deathwings fitted...
Contact me next week if you want a pair of 400 mile old Battlewings cheap-ish.

Totally happy on Tourance EXP. Grip, grip, grip, and excellent in wet.
Totally unconvinced with Conti Trail Attack.
To each his own tyre, it would seem. :bounce1

Avons are superb. You know exactly what they're doing. Just did some instructing a Mallory Park on my GS with the Avon Storm/Azaro combo and they were superb. Grip is excellent and when the heavens opened they were still fabulous. Managed to again destroy footpegs, brake pedal, side stand etc. The best road tyre so far on the GS I believe.;)

never had great feedback from the front of a gs :nenau well nothing like the feedback from a bike with a conventional suspension set up so i just put my faith in mr grip and fit tourance exp the sides of the front ware pretty quickly but there is always a trade off between grip and mileage
