Best Way to charge a r1200gs

I've been doing some investigation at work for a dealership aftermarket item.....

These bad boys are the best on the market, Aston Martin use them, Mercedes Benz do too, now us here in Crewe.

They are not chargers, they are battery conditioners, in theory you could leave it plugged in at all times and never worry about frying your battery.

Have a look at: http://www.ctek.com/en/home.asp

Charger.why bother??

with the new R1200gs you have to use a bmw charger oppy thingy or it won't charge.................or u can just put the charger on the battery and it charges no problem................60.00 they want for the charger................lol

:aidan Don't understand, never had a charger near my 1200, just ride it then the battery is always charged, .............no need to charge em at all.:rob poppycock if you ask me::blast

You don't have to have the BMW charger, I still use my Optimate with the connections direct to the battery. Not sure if you need it or not, but I have used the Optimate on the last 4 bikes and had no battery problems.
