Hi all

This topic has been well talked about, but this is my input.

I was getting lots of buffeting, wind noise and turbulence on my 1100 with the std screen, so I bought the MRA Vario from Motor Works.

Makes a brilliant difference for both rider and pillion - much quieter and comfortable. Easy to fit and good quality.

Well recommended !

Cheers for the pic; I stuck my nose in on the thread about fitting these and became interested, but there were no pics of just how the screen looks. Quite neat, innit? Think I'll definitely be getting one.

Where's the pic by the way, back road around Thirlmere by chance?

Cheers,

Dave.

I've had mine on for a whole day now, about 100miles of dual carriageways, counry lanes and the city.

Initially, at slowish speeds it was still quite noisy and blowy, couldn't keep the visor up, but the difference at the upper end on dual carriageways was excellent. No where near as much buffeting as my previous screen (bmw touring I think) and I was travelling faster and smoother. I dont think there in any reduction in noise though, just less turbulance. I have not tried the original GS screen, but it must be a huge improvement over that.

I think the main difference is my original screen was wide at the bottom and then narrowed just above the clock and this caused the wind to blow right againts my shoulders and neck (and bottom of helmet). Don't get any of that now.

I've got the clear one and I think it looks good (I'll post a picture tomorrow).

simple to install aswell:blast

I did a euro tour on my 1999 1100 with the standard screen :( not nice.
then changed to the MRA for the dakar went through spain/portugal and the dolomites the following year what a world of difference an MRA makes :clap:clap:thumb.
I will add one to my 1150 sometime soon.

Hi Dragon

Tis indeed the Thirlmere back road.

Thought it easier to get pics on that side - less cars !

Screen looks great, how much are they??:thedummy

cheaper from 'jaws' on this site officer!!!

I paid £10 less for a screen PLUS next day delivery from him than you pay for the screen alone from the usual suspects... oh and that despite paying a couple of quid more to cover paypal fees because I couldn't be bothered waiting for a cheque to clear.

Available from him in smoke tint or clear... imo smoke looks the biz on the 1100.
