Bevel box oil 1992 R100GS

Hi all,

I am going to service my 92 GS and have left over from my previous bike a a 2006 1200GS a quantity of Castrol SAFXO Synthetic Differential oil. IT is SAE 75W - 90 to GL-5.which I am considering putting in the bevel box The SAE range is outside of the recommended which is SAE 80 90. Any views on whether it will be OK??

Aye should be fine, its the GL5 that is most important

but be warned fully synth seems to find its way past seals when used in older applications

Sure nip to halfords or local factors and get the correct dino grade just making sure its GL5
