Purchased a new front and rear seat from these people last week. They sent me a low one instead of a standard. The box it arrived in was clearly marked LOW.

I understand that it is difficult with all the bank holidays, but Ive phoned then about 10 times today, left messages on the machine and sent emails.
No reply whatsoever. Now in my book thats not good. I was hoping to speak to them today so that they could arrange to collect and deliver the right one tomorow or Thursday.

If I dont get the right one by next bank holiday weekend I will be most pissed off.
Is it too much to ask.....:blast

A number of bike shops close Monday and Tuesday on bank hol weekends so I wouldn't read too much into it just yet.

I've quoted you just in case you actually haven't read what you've written.

I mean, imagine that at this very moment, these dastardly people are out enjoying some quality time with their families during a short holiday period while you sit at home fuming about an order that some poor sod, who will get the sack if you had your way, wasn't there to answer the phone for you.

I know, they don't deserve any holidays especially as you aren't happy and now you want to bring their shoddy business practices to every ones attention all because someone feked up one order. Why not have them flogged for their obviously poor customer service and get them to personally deliver a replacement seat and refund your money at the same time.

And what if you don't get the replacement by the next bank holiday ? Will you have to use your bike with the oe seat or will the World stop turning ?

Ok Ok.. Maybe, just maybe I am jumping the gun a little. BUT I have never been in the 'trade' whereas I have always been a customer.

Is it too much to ask that a company delivers what was ordered???
Surly that is basic. And I have no problem with people having time off at all, but why not leave a message to that effect, at least then the customers know where they stand.

I am a realist, i understand life, but I am also a customer. All I ask is good service.
Sometimes I just think the customer get screwed.
Perhaps I'm just getting old.....:nenau

Looks like its Calamander... IIRC its one guy, who has in the past over the years has been very good.

Like the others have said, calm down a bit, its Bank Holiday time and 'beware of this site' is waaaay over the top.

It would of helped if they had put something on there answerphone or email regarding hols/closed dates especially with the bank hols so customers know were they are , they will probably back open tomorrow drop you an email change them over and all sorted :thumb if they dont drop me a pm and you can buy mine its still making my ass ache :thumb:thumb

Yea, you are probably right, I will try again tomorrow. If I am wrong I will appologise profusely.....

you might have to if they read this site!

frustrations we all have but 'beware this site'????

Sorry, I was of the opinion that there was such a thing as speak as you find.
These are just my findings thus far...

Is it realy too much to ask to be able to contact a seller who has sent the wrong product?

Not wishing to add coal to the fire but I've also being trying to call these guys all day today. One response being a recorded announcement reminding one of their normal opening hours the othe times getting a simple answer-cut off.

If they can record an announcement with normal opening hours what's stopping them recording one for special occasions like Bank Holidays? And if they can't accept these as honestly given improvement ideas whats the point of being in business.

And if you end up buying Forest Bikers I'll buy yours.

prices

should have goe to tony archer he would have sorted your seat for a fraction of the cost you payed

As stated in a previous post many bike places close on a Monday as the norm because they open at the weekend so on Bank Holidays they close on the Tuesday too....things often go wrong just at a time when its difficult to put them right as quickly as you would like ....the law of sod. I am sure they would want to fix the problem to your satisfaction but if they are shut then you'll just have to wait a day longer :comfort

In their defence, I have bought from this company and found their service to be very good and the person I dealt with very helpful in responding to queries.

Yes, they should advertise their opening times better if they are closed for an extended bank holiday, and yes, they should send the correct product out, but hey, everyone make mistakes from time to time.

The guy took an extra day's break and didn't think to change his answerphone message.

Big deal!!

Chill out, he hasn't torched your house or threatened your family???

If, when you get hold of them, they don't respond and change the seat, then you have grounds to get pissed off.

They made a mistake, are you saying you haven't??

They probably still don't know about the mistake or the lynch mob forming to string them up for crimes against customer service.

Give them a chance to respond, ffs!

How the hell do you react when something important goes wrong in your life?????

I'd be pissed off, change the answerphone FFS its basic customer relations, and it works really well when you cock and order up as they have, and you have an irrate customer who can be semi calmed by simply knowing where he stands.
