I've emailed them for a price, let's see what they come up with.

The trouble is that the Emerald Isle alternator plus the regulator, gets to be a lot of dosh, so if you are going to get in that deep,
would it not be better to go down Lilith's road and get Enduralast - £335 plus post pus taxes.

In summary I think. The standard system is ok if you don't ride a mobile Christmas tree / always have heated clothing on.
Police spec VR charges the battery quicker as it's set to approx 14.5v versus 13.8.
You can spend lots, and not gain much, if you don't need the extra power.
Personally, the idea of the brushless set up sounds better mechanically / electrically to me.
