I know the GSA have their issues, but could you see KTM changing a full engine and drive system because of corrosion, not a chance. They really don't give a shit when they've got your business.
Fortunately KTM use paint that sticks to the engine and so do not need to replace them

just when I thought I might be returning to the GS fold
,ive had quite a few gss over the years and have had very few problems,on my 3rd lc 1st one mint,2nd one corrosion on every part,leaking w .pump,got a mint deal from BMW for my third one to keep the peace,cleaned and put away for winter,most of my spokes loose(dont do off road) and water pump leaking,will see dealer march time for warranty claim!!! i know it wont be a problem but new 1290 s ktm seems very tempting it cant be any worse can it?
