Big bugger so how so agile ?

Have you tried to get a good deal/sell a gs they kick you in the nuts like every other manufacturer

Riding a 100,000km 2007 GSA.......when something goes wrong,it gets fixed, worth every penny. In November it got it's ABS reconditioned, a new rear shock (FSS), genuine BMW heated grips replaced and an oil/filter change all for €1100.
I'll put another 100,000kms on it before it gets changed for an out of warranty 2017 GSA (in 2020)

Buy the bike, don't worry about, look after it......but above all.........ride it!!

(again, I've just noticed that this is the WC section........sorry)

Tried other bikes but nothing does it all like the GS, I need/want a bike that does it all so can't see myself ever being without a GS.

I'd love a Thruxton R too.

I went off Bmw bikes in 2009 , but had s1000rr s since 2013 , and got to say there is something about riding a BMW that I do like . Saw a new GS up in Yorkshire last week and did think it looked cool . I've not thought like that for a while . .Think I might nip to the local dealer and check one out and maybe a XR

I have done over 220,000 miles on GSes and the only problem I have had is with the servo brake motor - bloody things. Throw the ABS motor away and the brakes are superb. That's it, the Adv is on 115,000 now and is totally reliable.

I think a good deal of it is down to mechanical sympathy - I think you lot thrash your machines to within an inch of their lives. Maybe mine last well because they are treated gently - none of mine have ever seen above 5000rpm, for instance (that is plenty fast enough for me, I am not good enough rider to go any faster). No hard acceleration or braking, just nice smooth riding at a steady pace. they will go on for a long, long time. 11 years I have had the current 1150 Adv (I know it isn't a 1200), before that I had an RS100 which I sold to get teh GS - the chap gave me £1500 for it and it had 337,000 miles on it.

BMWs are totally unnreliable, I would give them a wide berth if I were you.

I sell most of my bikes back to my dealer, and always get a very good trade in.

I've done similar miles on 2xGS's, 1x k11lt& 1xr1200rlc, reliability issues , none at all! A few minor niggles, but that would be the case with any brand. The secret to a happy BMW bike ownership experience is use the buggers, but just be reasonable, servicing is common sense.
I hate the BMW bashers cos most of them do 3000 miles p/year, what do they know!
cheers
tony

Trust me flying an airliner is not exiciting 99.999 % of the time , which is what the pax need to hear , I suppose

But your view from your office window will be far nicer :D

Maybe a few emergency descents and barrel rolls would liven up the flight for you and your passengers occasionally?
