Big Mak BMA Tank Bag

Has anyone here bought, used or considered the Big Mak tank bag system? Mounting frame fixes to the petrol filler surround which seems fairly secure and a great idea (although I have some reservations about how much weight it could take safely).

I'd love to know if anyone's use one.

I had one on an 1100RT and loved it. Sold it when I traded up to a 1200RT and bought the (inferior) dedicated BMW bag. No problems with weight and took only 10 secs to remove this very well thought-out bag from the platen. Platen looks wierd when riding without the bag, but this never happened. The waterproof cover is not really necessary as it seemed to protect adequately without.
Brilliantly easy to carry when off the bike thanks to the detachable shoulder strap.

Thanks, Beemerboy. I might well be tempted. He's doing a package of mount, bag, map cover and raincover for (can't remember price!) but with the dollar exchange rate being so favourable for us at the moment, it's probably not going to get any cheaper.

Any one else have any reports?

Tank bags

Just for your info, and to give you greater choice I have just discovered SW Motech do a tank bag of similar design, but made for the 12GS.
