Big tank need help

Ok Chaps

Finally managed to get an 1150 large Adventurer tank for my 1100GS (thanks CW Dorchester).
I am trying to find out two bits of information
1. Will the old fuel level sender unit work accurately in the larger tank
2. I need to get the new tank painted. My bike is that dull red (1998), where do I get the paint codes from.

On my 1150, the paint code is marked on top of the fusebox lid.

what about painting the rest of the bike the same colour as the tank? that's only the beak and the tail. not much surface area... you could problery do it your self with some patience...

is it something as easy as getting the original bits for the adv tank and plugging it in to the 1100 bits? I wouldn't mind putting a adv tank on my 1100.....

You can bugger about bending float rods but when i fitted my ADV tank i simply filled it up,rode it until the orange light came on,then refilled it.
It took 22 litres,which meant i had an 8 litreish reserve.Job done.
