Give essjay a shout. He shipped his bike from Southampton to New york, I think, and posted the name of the company he used only a few weeks back.

Campbell Freight Agencies at Mallusk do worldwide shipping Phillip and may be able to help/advise. I don't have a contact there unfortunately, but you can get them on 9084 9000.
I'd definately recommend the spin down to southampton and put the bike on the roll on roll off ferry. Grab a bus then to Bournmouth airport and get a Ryanair €1 flight home. Follow the bike over then 2 weeks later.
The other option that we used is motorcycle express but that's well pricey and you'd have to go to Gatwick anyway. They might do Manchester either so it could be worth an email to them.
I'd absolutely recommend doing North America. The food is shit over there (example: a meat sandwich in Wallmart with more E's than a backstreet dealer and an expiry date in 3 weeks time). Canada tops the USA any day of the week. We took a spin up the Alaska highway - amazing.
The lad on the 1200 GSA is "buttsoirl" on this forum. I'm on the VStrom.
To follow it in sequence you have to use the calender halfway down the right hand side, and go from April -> May -> June clicking on the highlighted dates.
