There have been some fairly well known cases where boxer engined bikes have caught fire after being left running at standstill for more than 5-10 mins...

There are also some photos of at least a couple of bikes with the FD on fire, presumably after the bearings went, but I didn't follow their stories.

What happened?

So if your GS/RT has gone up in flames let us know, I know of 5 now, not that many untill it's you.
