Thanks for that, AC, I'd missed that one. Without wishing to labour the point it is wrong to think of the bar going down on to the terminal, rather people need to think of the bar pressing forward to chaff the lead.
I have been trying to understand the concept of "no fuses cause of Can-Bus
utilization" On other automotive Can-Bus systems NOT BMW, they refer to
software fuses or "virtual" fuses. Any automotive software garus know
how they work? And is it the same on the GS?

That is my post on ADVRider. You are correct, on my bike it looks like that is exactly what happened. Have since removed the bar in favor of two bolts, so far so good.
