Italian? got to be a Monster, but forget the 600, go for the 750 or 900. Still the coolest retro thingy.

A lovely looking range of bikes, but the long queues of knackered dukes laid up at my local dealership awaiting spares put me off, along with the horror stories from disgruntled ex-owners

bike for hers indoors

My other half kicked off two years ago with a hornet 250. Excellent looking bike but not a good one to start with if reving the stones out of the bike is not your thing. The power band is much too narrow. A 400 or 600 should (presumably) not have this problem. Moved on to a Honda CB 400 "Super Four". Superb bike, very easy to ride and consequently build loads of confidence.

Since moved to an R1150R - bit heavy but very lazy and effortless to pilot - and also an R1100s. Really at home with the S - and gets the looks too. I've therefore got the R back as an alternative to the GS. She's eying up that, but its probably a little too tall. Thankfully for me!

By the way, the Super Four is now for sale!

Cheers
