Not sure if this is the right thread, but...

Want to get something to record the odd ride, occasionally share with mates via web-page etc.
Not looking to make Claudio Von Plata style movies, but also want it to be watchable with reasonable sound.
Finally, don't want to spend a bomb - will look to buy used. Oh, and nees to be waterproof.
What works well? Helmet/bike? Know nothing about these so any advice gratefully received.

Have a look at the muvi spy cam or the chinese copy MD80. Very small about 10g. Only £12 or so of ebay or Amazon. Bought one from THT Trade. 2hrs battery and can take 8gig mini sd card which is more than enough.

Cheers - lots on eBay, it seems. Sound/picture quality can't be good at that price...can it?

There is quite a few video's on youtube so you can judge for yourself. Search for mini dvr, md80 or muvi. Check out the ones on trackdays to give you a better understanding of what the video will look like.

It's adaquate for trackdays due to the low cost, size and the battery only lasts 2hrs.

Went for a Midland XTC today. 2 hour battery life only, but otherwise all the functionality I need. Took 18 mins of film on ride home, which looks great. Wind is an issue, sound-wise, but will get on top of that. £119 with a huge box of mounts. Will post vid when I can (been uploading to my website three hours so far....not there yet)
