Bike Hire

Hi All,

I have posted this in the Travel section also but would like bike hire details so

Bit of help needed here,

A friend of mine wants to join 3 of us on a 6 day trip to the Ardennes at the end of May and he wants to hire a bike for a week.

I have found out some info for him but a lot of places require a 2k deposit up front, others just credit card info and will take up to a max of 1k for any damage including theft and a write off.

Firstly, can anyone recommend a place for hire near London ( i have googled and called a few for him but would like recomendations if you have them)

Secondly, Due to it being Isle of Man week a lot of big bikes FJR and 1250 bandits etc have already been hired out and he is being offered a Honda Deuville and a 650 bandit with luggage.

Any thoughts welcome and appreciated.

an idea

buy a bike, ride it, hopefully sell it for what you paid for it,if all else fails you can at least afford the rental money you would have paid to shift it on cheap.atb Paul.

I called all the shops and my mate hired a new bandit 650s with luggage from http://www.racewaysrentals.com/findingus.php today ( he couldnt reach the floor on my GSA)

The 2k deposit up front for a big bike was a bit off putting so he went for the 650, in all it come to:

weeks Bike hire £295
insurance £60
AA £40

Unlimited mileage, no deposit just card details and a £750 MAX payout.
