Bike not starting on a slope?

Here's a strange one? Not my bike and have not seen it personnaly, but here are symptoms....

"Everything seems to be fine with the bike now (except maybe for a good tune up of the TPS/TBS settings) but I find that when I park the bike on a slope, front higher than rear, it gets flooded. Won’t start and there is the smell op petrol. When pushed to and left on a flat surface for about 15 minutes it starts again. Why could the reason be?"

The bike in question has had fuel pump and Hall sensor replaced recently, but this fuelling issue puzzles me?

Always possible, he lives in a dry area but it means nothing with a blocked tank drain.

If it's an Oilhead I wonder have they put the pump flange back in the tank correctly?

As in correct orientation??

Does it happen when the tank is Brimmed?

2. It happens when it was relative empty - and also after I filled up with about 15 liters.

As I mentioned, only when parked at an angle, front higher than rear. When trying to start one can smell excessive fuel. When pushed to a flat surface and left for a couple of minutes it starts first time........ "

They'll run quite happily laid down 'to rest' until the engine seizes through oil starvation, so no, I don't think there is one.

Did the spring that keeps the filter bag open get missed out maybe?

If it flops into the wrong place at an angle, it might cause this

Whatever, the changing of the fuel pump 'recently' is too much of a coincidence....some-thing's gone wrong with a connection or a position.
