Bike powered radios

I have an Autocom kit and Motorola T5622 radios. Does anybody know a way of powering the radios straight from the bike rather than having to charge the batteries everynight?

Its not possible due to the radios and if something was possible you would get groundloop issues due to the lead between the comms and Motorola not being isolated. It was something we did look into but the overall costs for the parts would of been more than the radios originally

Sorting out the ground loop issues is trivial - you can get cheap isolating transformers - a quick google threw up this - http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103994

Then it's just a matter of getting the right volts into the walkie talkie. Again, a fairly quick google found this :- http://www.roadking.co.uk/cigar-adaptors/samlex-12v-dc-dc-converter.html

So for a tenner in parts plus labour you'd have a nifty, reliable system.
