Some Good News Today
Well today I got some good news. THe assessor has recommended that both bikes be written off. THe Honda will be sold for parts only. It cannot be re-registered. THe 12GS will be auctioned in the next couple of weeks and subject to appropriate inspection following repair it can be re-registered. However, the cost of repair is greater than the insured cost.
I have ordered a new 12GS today to pick up on the THursday before Easter so I can run it in over Easter.
Now I just have to wait for confirmation from the insurance company that they accept the recommendation of the assessor and I can finalise the new purchase.
Again thanks to everyone for the advice, it helped prepare me just in case. However, the assessor could see that it was well and truely buggered.
So over easter if you are riding around SE Australia you should see me running in my second 12GS within 12 months.
THis time the keys will stay with me and not be left in my jacket pocket.
