Hi everyone,

I am trying to plan a route on another site,

its my main site, ( i find this site so much better for the garmin 2610 infor i need.)

Is there a site i can get a route from, using b roads, etc.

Want something around Grafham water, taking in the road to st neots from kimbolton.

Would be good if i could upload straight to mapsource.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Why don't you just plan it yourself in Mapsource? :nenau

It's such a short stretch of road that it won't take much planning.

Or riding, for that matter.

Hi Steve,

That was my next step,

Some roads i know, its planning roads i do not know,

Also its for Easter Monday, so short of time, and working nights tonight, and folks wanting to view the house tom. and lunch with Mum on sunday,

You get the picture, too much to do and so little time,

Just tying to take a short cut.

Paul

Would you like us to ride the ride for you as well? :hide

After all, a road you don't know is only a road you've never ridden before. I "plan" routes and rideouts all the time using mapsource and most of the roads I've not been on when initially plannign.

Cheeky fecking lot,

Well i have planned one now,

Not being lazy, just wanted some suggestions,

will up load the route now for you, have yet to try it out,

Will look on the other site suggested saturday.

Thanks everyone.

If I was you I'd look at that route again

Otherwise you're going to get very familiar with that section of the A1 by Sandy... :)

Peter

Hi Peter,

It is the shortest option to use a quick burst of the A1 at Sandy, or heading towards Bedford. As no B road link,

Will travel the route over the next few days, just to see,

Can anyone recommend a good stop for lunch, at the moment about 10 of us.

Another question, how do you edit a route once saved, can not see an edit tool.

6 nights off now, yippee,

Paul

I suggest you have a closer look at you routing at Sandy ;)
at the top of the mapsource page there is an edit tag :thumb2

Well the comments make me smile:) :) :) :) .

I can see there is an edit tab, but how do you just move the route and delete where you had it prior, This is the first time I have planned a route, mostly just put a location to find previously.

It just seems to give me a clear page, and need to put the whole route in again.

Thanks for the replies.

Doh,

Got what you mean about the bit between Sandy etc, going up and down.

So how do i erase the south bound side o the route, please.

Sorry folks but this is the first route i have planned on the garmin.

Since CN V.9 has just landed at Chateau Twotter I've had a quick play with your route - see attached.

An easy place for lunch would be at Hartford Marina just outside Huntingdon (I've added it in for you).

Have a nice day out :)

Just put up a post regarding this ride out on Easter monday, in the East Anglia location, not sure which one to put it in.

Anyone welcome to come along, there will be some Honda's there, sensible ones,

Thanks, again
