Sorry to hear that, Steve

Brake fluid on Paralever? Check it out

Sidestand = 1st gear...................every time:D

it was in gear because you can never find neutral:blast but not first john!..off to germany tom, then big strip down when i get back and a trip to the powder coaters

I fell asleep on the edge of my bed last night......fuck me if I didn't fall off and bang my nose on the floor. :blast

Hey guys....don't go to sleep on the edges of your beds :thumb2

:comfort

My last bike did that, Steve, so I always leave it in first when on the side stand now. I've just got the cylinder cover painted, so if you want a spare, let me know (it's for the left side).:thumb

So was it parked with the handlebars turned to the Left??? Or handlebars turned Right??

My Money is On Turned Right!

Don;t believe me? Go turn them left on the sidestand and put the steering lock on

Now go behind and bump it ???

turn them right and bump it again

Because they are turned away it allows the bike to roll forward and over the sidestand pivot point

Hope its not too Bad in the end

More important Ride Safe!

shit, you mean a bike falls to the left when off the side stand? Phew, glad I subscribe to this forum....:) Tonight I have lkearned something

How did that happen?

Did you post a pic here, must have missed it :)

1st gear is your friend

The side stand on the WC is the same as the clutch and gearbox needs finishing off you are not the first to have this model roll off the stand piss poor design

+1 Skido6, same happened to me at the end of my driveway; I was locking my gate, turned around and discovered the bike was on its side.. Yes careless, but I don't usually stop the engine so soon after a cold start and 've done this manoeuvre hundreds of times before on my previous GSA and GS.
Conclusion: WCGSA rolls of its side stand much easier than its predecessors, be warned :rob

Skid and Nutty

For sake of interest What way did you have your handlebars turned when you walked away from the bike ??

I know lots of folks leave them turned to the right for ease of getting on and off

I park mine up turned left and locked and then turn them before getting back on and there is just not enough room for my gammy hip to turn

Mine were turned to the left, and the bike was in neutral. I ALWAYS leave it in gear, even on a flat surface now, with the bars to the right, for ease of getting on and off.:thumb
