Bike shipping

Hi lads and lassies,

Looking for info about shipping a bike from Ireland to Vancouver. Anyone done it already? Any info on this would be appreciated.

Not actually done it from Ireland - but most helpful chap I spoke to was Giles at James Cargo.

helped advise me on ins and outs of shipping my GSA to Anchorage.

They specialise in bikes and equine transport. Made it easy, painless and relatively cheap...

I bought my 1100 gs from a guy in killarney a few years ago who had shipped it over there for a trip, I know he is back in killarney at the moment. Dont have a number for him but Phil Gunn might.

Giles or Roddy at James cargo will arrange it from any airport/ port to any airport/ port

so it's not based around where they are but where you are and want to get too.

The other option is to ship it to New York and ride it to Vancouver. We used these guys. I think they charged us £575. We rode the bikes to Southampton and handed them over. Flew to New York 10 days later and the bikes were waiting.

+1 for these. Southampton to Tacoma twice a month. Short(ish) ride up to Vancouver.
