Says so on the box - not heavy rain, but light/moderate rain maybe. Won't be testing it though if given the choice.
Is this new Q2 waterproof ?
Frank
Ive been looking at getting these for a bit. I'm currently using the cellularline interphone set. Its good but has limitations, the main one being that you cant have gps and paired to another unit at the same time. Ive read in the bumf of the q2 that you can have it paired to another unit and your gps and it will give you the gps instructions and then reconnect to the partner unit. Have you tried this and does it work? If it does then i'll be getting a set.
The unit on paper would cure all my woes over using the Autocom and have to admit it sounds very good.
I am a little dissapointed that they never see fit to put an 3.5 output jack for In Ear Monitors. Maybe some electrical spark could confirm if the speakers could be cut off and the ends wired into a 3.5 socket for use with Ultimate ear monitors?

Have a look at this, I don't know if youd need an adaptor?Next question ..... does anyone know of a smallish affordable device that will connect to a Garmin Quest to give Bluetooth output to the Q2?
have just got a zumo 550 yet to be fitted and was going to use it with my old autocom but this looks like the answer
Is there any problems with the volume of the music from the Zumo that I read about using other systems?

Thanks Gabby am going to order both!
Just when I thought ther was nothing left to buy for the bike!
No problems with the volume but if you want hi fidelity music quality sound get Ultimate Ear Monitors fitted to the Q2 (See above posts)
Helment headset speakers are fine for GPS and Comms...and OKish. for music
This Q2/UE monitor set up seems like a good idea, but can I just clarify a couple of things...
1. In order so that I can use my monitors instead of the speaker supplied with the Q2, will UE be modifying my monitors or the Q2?
2. If the answer to 1 is that they will modify the monitors, what are they going to do to them and will I still be able to use them without the Q2 - say if I buy the Q2 and it turns out to be crap and I just want to go back to listening to my iPod.
3. Am I right in thinking that I can then create a Bluetooth link between my iPod and the Q2 so that I can hear both through the monitors with the Q2 automatically interrupting the iPod in the event of a call and starting it again once the call's finished?
4. Is there some device which allows me to use Bluetooth to connect to both the Q2 and also my Belkin SportCommand remote as both appear to use the same plug?
Thanks in advance.
This is a Belkin SportCommand. It's a waterproof bluetooth iPod remote and a great bit of kit. The bluetooth dongle plugs into the bottom of your iPod which you then stash in a jacket pocket and the waterproof remote conveniently velcros into the inside of your left handguard thereby allowing you to adjust the volume or play, pause, stop and skip.
The question is whether you can get something which allows you to plug two separate devices into the bottom of an iPod?
Dunno if I missed it but can this system pick up music in stereo from the Zumo via bluetooth and if so is the sound quality any good??
