Bit surprised to read how many of you routinely start your bikes in gear. I never do, except maybe in the odd situation as in post #7 or the bike stalls momentarily. But absolutely not routinely.
So from cold, people are starting the bike (clutch held in) and holding that position for a short while, say 30-40 seconds, then riding away?
What about that poor old clutch push rod, the one with no bearings, that means not sitting at lights with the clutch pulled in? Doesn't this starting method just make a mockery of that idea?
