I have lived up ere for 2 years now but spent the former years up ere as much as possible. Wouldn't live any where else, I've met some brill people and
been made welcome by the locals.
They are a strange breed! but still possess the pride in there country which I feel has been lost from others.
They are very funny drunks and I have wobbled home from the pub in the early hours ( they don't close much)
Still don't know what the feck they are saying half the time though?

I think it's a shame when anyone dies on the roads up here, weekends can be a nightmare with the lowland lads using some of the roads as a racetrack.
But saying that we all enjoy our bikes!!!

But what the press forget to add is that Wembley was getting re-turfed and new aluminium goalpost's installed after the game.

I worked in Ally MacLeod's house a few years after and there was a picture of him presenting some new turf to the Lord Mayor of London
