For anyone intrested, the biker down scheme is starting to run throughout the uk. Run by The fire service and covers scene management, first aid and is a great course. I run the one in manchester however Kent, Herts and the welsh fire srevice also hold them.

Very interested in something like this.
I've just had a quick look but nothing, as yet, in Norfolk.
Is there a "normal" website I could bookmark as an alternative to having to use Facebook ?

That would be of great interest to me. Having recently helped a young man who had an argument with a tree, I would love to make sure that I have the essential skills to help someone out enough to keep them alive until the emergency services arrive.

I did a course with Jim at Ashford fire station. A very good evening was had by all who attended the course. Well worth doing. Something you hope you never need.

Yep Jim at ashford started it all off and has done a top job. more and more fire services are starting to climb aboard so you need to keep an eye on the facebook site. there is now a central biker down page.
