United bikers of ireland are holding a protest in Dublin sat 29th oct, they are hoping bikers from all over the country will take part, check out their web site.
unitedbikersofireland.com
ps, i put up a previous post regarding this, but got no reply, did i say something wrong.

They are expecting about 400 bikers to meet up in Monaghan, then ride to the main protest in Dublin.expecting 2000 bikes to converge on the dail.
There is a protest run to the offices of the R S A on Friday leaving the cinema at liffy vally about 8.30 to arrive in ballina for 1
All the more radical sites and face book have info on this

Ps you said nothing wrong apart from og no one seems to say much about this type of thing

Have checked out united web site...........

Gerry, You dont tell a lie !!!!

Some of the things they trying to bring are :censor::censor::censor:

Will there be anyone in the dail to protest to on Saturday?

Apart from that the media will be busy raking over the election for the head gnome 9president) & other electorial stuff. Bad timing if it is about grabing media attention- that said yesterday evening would have been worse timing.

Gerry put on your kind of yellow suit, you need a bike ride after that long walk in africa.

thats the thing gerry can chose to wear a reflective 1 peice suit, shirt or what ever he wants
imagine if we were all made go around in yellow baby grows :mad::mad:

there are a couple off supportive T Ds going to be in the dail to collect paperwork, midweek would have been better but the UBI want big numbers and wont get that during the week
havind said that there seems to be a large turn out planed for raid in the rsa on friday

Frank, when you read into it there are some serious issues there, i am a bit surprised there isnt more publicity about the event, it def needs supporting.

the thing is most of the united bikers of ireland committee are rally bikers and in mcc bike clubs
they wrote out to all mcc clubs in the country and posted info on biker.ie and similar forums, they also have it on facebook but then thats only good if you know someone
part of the problem in this country is there are a lot of independant (single bikers not connected to any clubs or groups)bikers in the country and its hard to get word to everyone
i am going to ballina friday but cannot make dublin saturday but i know a lot of people who are going

not to many look at it or so it seems, spend an hour in a meeting with noel brett the ceo of the rsa
nice guy met with 6 of us,it was a good meeting but i am not sure if it will change anything
he was full of praise for mag and said he is meeting mag and ubi next week
he only received 8 submissions with regard to the proposed law changes and would welcome more if anyone is interested

Jaysus, Ye did well to get a meeting with him. I work for him and he won't meet with us to discuss our problems within the organisation. He is a total waffler though. He is always well versed in meetings and always tells everyone what they want to hear but when you leave his office he turns over the page and does what he wants to do. Which is generally the opposite to what he has told you he will do.

I was afraid of that he would make a great politician
Listened to everything we said and seemed to take it on board but said he would make up his own mind in the end
At least we tried and hopefully gave him something to think about
Interesting to hear he has done ibt

Not sure if the cop car in the car park. Was for us or just happened to be there
Also said he keeps a good eye on all the biker web sites

Here's MAG's submission for anyone who's considering similar.

Well done to all on the RSA protest. Not easy to get the numbers out on a workday when it involves most of them doing a cross country round trip either.

Mini write-up on the MAG site here also;

He praised mag and said while they did not seem to have Hugh numbers they were the best informed group and the only group that had all the facts right and a good web site for info

Ps most if not all of the guys on the ballina Rin had to take a day off work and travel a distance
Well done guys
